Red or Dead Geeks and Freaks shoot with Pip Jolley

At Red or Dead we think Geeks and Cool and Freaks are interesting. To pay homage we decided to do a shoot with one of our favourite influencers Pip Jolley. She did an AMAZING job and we love her so much. On Instagram she posted: “I hope you love them as much as I do. I was so scared that they would want me to be all modely and posey, but they just wanted me to be my usual goofy self and pull faces. Literally never had so much fun... Read More

Toilet Paper Magazine Shop Milan

Here at Red or Dead we love us some Toiletpaper Magazine. For though of you that don’t currently own a copy, Tolietpaper Magazine is the best book that you don’t have. This bi-annual picture-based publication was co-created by Maurizio Cattelan and Pierpaolo Ferrari. To two met in 2009 for a W magazine photoshoot and enjoyed working together so much that they decided to make their own magazine.   Toiletpaper combines a twisted sense of humour, bright style and stunning conceptual visuals in one amazing package. And if that wasn’t enough,... Read More

OFFF

Inspiration can take on many different forms but in our experience as Creatives some of the best inspiration comes for hearing other peoples stories. The OFFF Festival is an annual Festival Held in Barcelona bringing together some of the worlds best and graphic Designers and Artists for three days of workshops and seminars. This year we were incredibly lucky to be able to make the trip and take part in what was a truly eye opening experience. Some of our standouts were…   Hector Monerris Hector produced a home made... Adobe Summit

Adobe has really taken the design industry by storm in the past 10 years, becoming the industry standard across almost every area of design. For anyone that doesn’t know, Adobe is the company behind Photoshop, the program that makes everyone on Instagram look impossibly perfect. But when it’s not being used to give us everyday folk an impossible beauty standard, Photoshop along with the whole Adobe suit is used to create the adverts we see on the train, artwork on the cover our  favourite albums, designs for the clothes and... Sorrell Foundation Masterclass Awards

In March of this year. The Red or Dead team worked alongside Kickers and presented a Footwear Design Masterclass at Wolverhampton University for the Sorrell Foundation Charity. We were blown away by ideas that the kids came up with and we were delighted to be invited to the awards ceremony at Somerset House in June.   Five of the best designs were made into shoes by the Kickers team and exhibited at the awards. Our very own Laura Allcott and Denzel Currie gave out awards to all the students involved... Read More

Joan Cornella

Last week was the last day of Spanish Cartoonist Joan Cornella’s London exhibition at Hoxton Arches. And thank the Gods me made it! If you aren’t familiar with Joan’s work then you’re in for a pleasant and hilarious surprise. Some people fine his work “disturbing or flat-out offensive” but we find his unique brand of unsettling, surreal and black humor fascinating and insightful. If you missed the show we took some great snapshots for you to ponder over. You can find more of Joan’s work at www.joancornella.net

RoD’s DAY OUT

Our cultural day out lead us to the Summer show at Royal Academy where a multitude of unknown and famous artists alike  exhibit there finest master pieces. Pure mortals that don’t have extravagant fine art budgets (like myself)have the opportunity to view the price tag and make a purchase. I love this show for the variety, humour, colour, mixture of classic and contemporary and it’s non elitist nature. Highly recommend a visit although it will have to be next year now as it’s finished!
